Note: The new 2022 on Toyota Hilux SR5 Cruiser K-Series (including Hilux Rouge and Hilux GR Sport with wider wheel track) has a different suspension set-up. This suspension component will NOT fit these models of Hilux. Please see the separate category for this vehicle or if you are unsure, please email us with your vehicle registration number.

-These CV boots are smaller than generic units due to being high clearance. When installing you will find they are a tight fit, but they are definitely compatible with this vehicle model
-Must be fitted with lifts over 50mm to reduce CV boot wear

High clearance CV boots have a different shape in the design of the bellows so that they are less likely to touch each other.  When each part of a CV boot touches another, it can cause wear and eventually cause the to crack or tear, exposing the joint to contaminants that will quickly decrease the life of the joint.

The Dobinsons high clearance CV boot kit is the newer style of “high angle CV boots”, designed to give more clearance between the bellows of the boot so that they don’t rub against each other.  This is super important when being used on a lifted vehicle, as it’s common for mud or dirt to build up in between the bellows or ribs and then rub against the next, causing them to fail sooner than normal.
