MORE INFORMATION

MSA 4X4’s patented, SEMA award-winning Towing Mirrors feature a large single mirror that pivots on a heavy-duty extension slide. Allowing the mirror to extend out when towing and return to a normal driving position, when not towing.

Government guidelines state that the driver is required to see 20m past the widest point of the towed vehicle. MSA 4X4 has created a range of Towing Mirrors that meet this guideline and are specifically designed for Australian towing vehicles.

Non Power-Fold Vs Power Fold Mirrors:
The core difference between Power Fold and Non Power-Fold mirrors is how they retract against the vehicle body: Power Fold mirrors utilize an internal electric motor, activated by a switch inside the cabin or automatically upon locking, allowing the entire mirror housing to tuck in without manual effort. Conversely, Non Power-Fold mirrors (also called Manual-Folding) rely on a simple mechanical pivot and must be physically pushed or pulled by hand to fold in or out, making them less convenient but often simpler and more robust, particularly in aftermarket or heavy-duty applications.

Heating:
Mirrors that feature this, is an essential feature. This is built into the mirror glass, containing a heating element that can be activated to quickly clear condensation, fog, frost, or ice from the mirror surface.

Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM):
Mirrors that feature the Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) which is an essential safety feature has them integrated into the mirrors, to accommodate or seamlessly integrate with your vehicle's existing BSM system. This sophisticated technology uses sensors  to constantly detect when another car enters the notoriously invisible zone alongside and slightly behind your vehicle. When a threat is detected, the system immediately alerts the driver, usually by illuminating a highly visible indicator light built directly into the mirror face, providing a vital, split-second warning that prevents dangerous lane changes and enhances overall road safety.

Electric Adjust:
Mirrors that feature the electric adjust allow the driver to adjust the angle of the mirror glass (up, down, left, right) electronically via the vehicle's standard mirror control switch inside the cabin.

Manual Adjust:
Mirrors that feature a manual glass adjustment are non-electric and must be done by hand.

Integrated Indicators:
Mirrors that feature the integrated Indicators have integrated turn signal lights (blinkers or indicators) that flash when the driver activates the vehicle's corresponding turn signal.

Memory:
Mirrors that feature Memory functionality retain maximum convenience with the Memory feature, which seamlessly links the mirror's precise angle to your vehicle's factory seat memory profiles, allowing the mirror glass to automatically adjust for different drivers at the touch of a button (Note: functionality is restricted when the mirror head is rotated for towing).

Camera Provision:
Mirrors that include the Camera Provision, have a housing that is engineered to flawlessly accept and integrate your vehicle's original factory side-view camera, ensuring you retain full functionality of your crucial 360-degree or surround-view camera system when you upgrade to these towing mirrors.
