Unleashing Off-Road Potential: A VDJ79 Built to Explore
This vehicle came to us already modified but there was still plenty of work for us to do so without wasting any time, we immediately began by stripping out the interior. Our first task was to do a full Dynamat install, which would effectively reduce unwanted heat, noise, and vibrations. This process ensures a more comfortable and enjoyable driving experience for our customers.
From there we continued the interior fit-out and the team designed a custom rear wall panel to cover the back panel of the vehicle and accommodate a personalized electrical setup. This included the installation of 2x USB C sockets, 2x ACC sockets, and 2x Anderson plugs for convenient power access.
In addition, we created a custom fridge platform that was carpeted to match the back panel. This design ensured a cohesive look while providing power and a stable and secure platform for the fridge during overlanding adventures.

To complete the interior we installed the following components, a Department of Interior Standard Type Center Console for the much needed cupholders! And for easy to see engine monitoring: |
The exterior was mostly complete when the vehicle came to us but we did add some extras, most of these are overlooked items but they really do make a difference to the overall look and comfort of a build! |

Performance and Engine Upgrades
Our main goal for this project was to optimize the vehicle's power output at a safe level to create a fun driving experience while still maintaining its usability. With this in mind, we performed a series of comprehensive upgrades to achieve the desired results. The following enhancements were carried out:

| To keep up with all the added power and torque we upgraded the clutch to an NPC extra heavy duty unit including a flywheel and also overhauled the brakes with DBA T2 Slot Rotors with XP pads and a JMACX Brake Booster. The Street Series T2 rotor combines the advantages of DBA's Street Series direct replacement rotors with the added benefit of their patented T2 slot design. This innovative design incorporates precisely CNC machined bi-symmetrical slots, resulting in a brake pedal feel that is not only quieter but also more responsive. |

Additionally, we had an emissions certification done to ensure the vehicle was compliant with regulations. We also did a fresh WOF, performed a wheel alignment, and obtained LVVTA (Low Volume Vehicle Technical Association) Certification.
After picking up the finished vehicle, our customers wasted no time in taking it off the beaten track and embarking on their first adventure.
